John Ellison

President & Founder

John founded Panowatch after spending a career supporting progressive candidates, causes, and brands execute complex media programs to reach, persuade, and activate audiences. As the digital landscape continued to evolve, John wanted to help organizations understand the complexities of media buying and build an infrastructure to take control of their digital programs.

Prior to starting Panowatch, John served as Head of Buying at Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) where he oversaw a talented team of media buyers responsible for executing large-scale programs for Fortune 500 companies, Presidential candidates, global non-profits, and issue-based groups.

The privilege of being able to support progressive cause has always been appealing to John, and before joining BPI he worked at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) where he managed the non-profit’s paid-search advertising & display advertising programs.

John currently resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two sons. He enjoys photography, travel, design, and C-A-P-S CAPS CAPS CAPS.
